Motorcycle rally for the publicity of Nepal Sambat
KATHMANDU,DEC 28- A motorcycle rally has been held from Kathmandu to Sindhuli for the publicity of the Nepal Sambat calendar.

The motorcycle rally is organised by the Newa volunteers and General Secretary of the Federal Socialist Party, Rajendra Shrestha, inaugurated the rally at Basantapur.

Shrestha expressed the confidence that the rally will spread awareness among people about the Nepal Sambat calendar.

Former General Secretary of the Newa Deya Dabu, Pabitra Bajracharya, said that the rally was organised to make the locals of Sindhuli district aware about the importance of the Nepal Sambat.

Chairman of the Newa volunteers, Manoj Newa, said that they have programme of publicizing the Nepal Sambat calendar in Sindhuli and that they will train the people there on the techniques of cooking Yomari, a special sweet item of the Newar community.

The rally will reach Sindhuli via Bhaktapur and Kavre and it will return to Kathmandu after three days, it is learnt.
