PANCHTHAR, DEC 29 - Nepali Congress spokesperson Arjun Nar singh KC said on Saturday that there was no alternative to launch agitation as the UCPN (Maoist) has been trying to capture the power in guise of election.
Addressing at a programme organised here in Panchthhar district, leader KC said, "The UCPN (M) has been trying to prolonge their stay in power under various excuses."
He said the NC would launch protest s if the parties fail to forge consensus within the deadline given by the Election Commission.
He claimed that the NC nominated its leader for the prime minister's post for the unity government as per the request made by the UCPN (M). He added that his party will not let the Maoists impose authoritarian rule in the country.
