KATHMANDU, DEC 29 - Nepali Congress leader Chakra Prasad Bastola has been heart attacked while addressing a programme in Biratnagar on Saturday.
He was rushed to BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Dharan following the where the doctors confirmed he had a heart stroke and ailments related to brain.
"Bastola was ferried to Siligudi after the doctors at BP Koirala Institute advised to take him to Kathmandu or any other places," NC Mahasamiti member Sudeep Siwakoti informed.
He was taken to Siligudi in India for further treatment after doctors in Kathmandu suggested that it would be better to take him to India by ambulance instead of taking him to Kathmandu in a helicopter, Siwakoti added.
