SINDHULI, DEC 31 -General Secretary of Nepali Congress Krishna Prasad Sitaula has said that the political parties could not make consensus if the prime minister refused to give up his stance .
Inaugurating the party regional assembly at Jarayotar VDC in Sindhuli district on Monday, Sitaula said current deadlock will end if the PM gives up his stance . Sitaula, who came down heavily against the UCPN (Maoist), said that the PM's stance brought the split in his party and would ultimately take its toll upon the prime minister.
Sitaula urged the prime minister to come to an agreement to end the crisis. He also urged the citizens to vote the party to make it victorious with majority in the next elections.
Also speaking on the occasion, NC youth leader Gagan Thapa maintained that it was the fault of the party to trust the UCPN (Maoist) and name its party president as the candidate of the prime minister. He said that UCPN (M) had committed a crime by betraying the NC.
