New Maoist CC commences
KATHMANDU: The first Central Committee(CC) meeting of the newly formed CPN-Maoist has commenced from Monday after holding discussions within the standing committee and politburo committee.

The political proposal of the party has been put forward by party chairman Mohan Baidya Kiran and the organization proposal has been put forward by general secretary Rambhadur Thapa Badal.

CC will continue for 2-3 days and take all the necessary decisions including work divisions for all the leaders and cadres of the new party that includes area committees and district committees and struggle plans and programmes among others, privy sources to CPN-M confirmed.

Today’s CC is expected to endorse the decision to appoint C P Gajurel as the vice chairman, Dev Gurung and Netra Bikram Chand, as party secretaries.

Currently the party has claimed 45 central committee members who had deserted the Unified CPN Maoist to support Mohan Baidhya, the chairman of the new party.
