One major general‚ two brigadier generals promoted
Kathmandu, June 28: The meeting of the Council of Ministers this evening decided to promote a major general and two brigadier generals of Nepal Army.

Brigadier general Nirendra Prasad Aryal and colonels Ram Krishna Adhikari and Himalaya Bikram Khatri have been upgraded to the posts.

The meeting also approved the resignation of colonel Umesh Kumar Bhattarai.

Talking to media persons following the meeting, Minister for Information and Communications Raj Kishor Yadav said the Cabinet meeting decided to promote three brigadier generals and three lieutenant colonels and transfer 10 colonels.

Similarly, the meeting decided to accept the grants of Rs17.1 million and additional grants of Rs 320 million provided by the Asian Development Banks to set up service centers for women and children and implement the school sector reform project respectively.

Minister Yadav further said the meeting approved the framework agreement on grant assistance between Nepal and Korean Republic.
