Kathmandu, July 4: CPN-Maoist Wednesday objected to the government's preparation of agreement for handing over the management, upgrading and operation of Tribhuvan International Airport, country's only one international airport, to an Indian private company named Infrastructures Leasing and Financial Services.
Issuing a statement party chairman Mohan Baidhya Kiran and general secretary Ram Bahadur Thapa termed any such move a serious issue related to national sovereignty and security. They have asked all the patriots, nationalists and the people to press the government against making any agreement as reported in the media.
Meanwhile, a national gathering of Revolutionary Journalists Association (RJA) has reformed the organization into Revolutionary Journalists Federation under the coordination of Kumar Shah.
The gathering has also formed a 137-member national conference organizing committee.
Earlier, central committee member of CPN-Maoist Maheshwor Dahal was heading the RJA.
