INTERNET SERVICE IN RURAL PATLEKHET


Myagdi (Babiyachour), Aug. 6: Locals of Patlekhet, a rural area of Myagdi district, have started exchanging information and messages through e-mail.
Change has come in the style of exchanging information and messages through mobiles, letters and phones after wireless internet was installed in the local school.

Locals have got easy and smooth communication service after the internet was installed at Bidyodaya Lower secondary School at Bakhet of Patlekhet with the financial and technical assistance of the locals, who are in foreign countries in connection with employment.

Time and money have been saved after locals started using e-mails for exchanging information.Internet was installed in the school last week, Principal of the school, Manbir Kisan, said.

Internet was installed in two computers of the school for the first time in Patlekhet after linking with repeater tower based at Maharedanda of Ramche.

Keshav Pun of Bakhet, working in Hong Kong, through his mother Hira Devi Pun had provided Rs. 100,000 for purchasing computers and installing internet, according to Manbir.

too, Pun had provided Rs. 155,000 financial assistance to the school to run classes of lower secondary level.

Large numbers of locals throng the school to talk with their relatives, who are in foreign countries, through e-mail, Skype and chat.


Office-bearers of the School Management Committee said that it will help in educational development. The school has been making preparations to run computer classes from the next academic session, according to the school
